Terms of service

Before using Beanory, learn about the service, account responsibilities, and membership rules.

Last updated: August 6, 2026

By using the Beanory app, this website, or related services, you agree that you have read and accepted these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, stop using the service. Nothing in these terms removes or limits mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

1. Service and intended users

Beanory is intended for parents, guardians, and adult caregivers. It provides tools for daily baby records, statistics and trend/growth reports, reminders, local notifications, photos, family collaboration, invitations, sign-in, cloud sync, and subscription benefits. It is not designed for children, who should not create an account or use the service on their own.

Features, free limits, membership benefits, supported devices, languages, and availability may change with product versions, operations, or applicable law. The current app, the App Store purchase sheet, and the service’s current entitlement response control the details available to you.

2. Accounts, households, and invitations

The current version supports Apple sign-in, Google sign-in, and email verification-code sign-in. Provide accurate information, protect your device and sign-in credentials, and remain responsible for activity under your account. Before joining a household by email or invitation code, confirm that the invitation is trustworthy. Household owners can manage members and revoke invitations.

You must be an adult with capacity to enter an agreement, or use the service with a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision. You must also have the right to enter, store, and share baby profiles, health-related records, photos, and other content with the household members you select.

3. Local records, sync, and availability

Before sign-in, records are primarily stored on the current device. After sign-in, content used with sync or family sharing is stored in the related household space. Sync depends on your device, network, and service availability and may be delayed, conflict, inaccurate, or temporarily unavailable. Beanory is not a professional backup service. Keep appropriate copies of important information and confirm what you want to retain before uninstalling the app, deleting your account, or changing devices.

We work to keep the service available, but do not promise that it will be continuous, error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose. Maintenance, upgrades, outages, third-party changes, network conditions, and events beyond our reasonable control may affect availability.

4. Your content and our limited license

You retain rights in the text, baby profiles, records, photos, and other content you create, upload, or submit. To operate Beanory, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license, limited to the service period and necessary follow-up processing, to host, copy, process, transmit, display, generate record statistics, and provide sync to you and the household members you authorize.

This license does not allow us to sell your content, use baby or health records for targeted advertising or model training, or change your ownership. You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, permissions, and sharing scope of your content, especially content about children, other family members, photos, health, or third parties.

5. Prohibited use

You may not use the service unlawfully; violate privacy or intellectual-property rights; impersonate another person; access another household without permission; bypass permissions or membership limits; upload malware; interfere with the service; reverse engineer parts protected by law; scrape data in bulk; send spam; or use Beanory for emergency medical care, diagnosis, treatment, prescription decisions, or another professionally regulated purpose.

6. Health and safety boundaries

Beanory is an everyday journaling and family-review tool, not a medical device, medical service, doctor, pharmacist, or emergency channel. Temperature, medicine, vaccine, feeding, sleep, growth data, and reports may be incomplete, inaccurate, or delayed and cannot replace professional judgment. For urgent situations or medical care, contact a qualified healthcare professional or local emergency service.

7. Beanory Pro subscriptions

Beanory Pro is offered through the Apple App Store as monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions. The price, currency, billing period, any trial or offer, taxes, and exact benefits are shown on the App Store purchase sheet at the time of purchase and may vary by country, tax, or Apple pricing changes. Monthly and yearly plans are one Pro tier with different billing periods.

  • The subscription renews automatically before the current period ends unless you cancel through your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period; paid access does not end early solely because you cancelled.
  • Apple handles payment, billing, refunds, failed payments, grace periods, and billing retries. Submit refund requests under Apple’s rules. Beanory does not receive your full payment-card details.
  • You can restore purchases in the app or manage/cancel the subscription through the App Store. We grant or remove benefits for the relevant household based on Apple transaction status returned and verified by our service.
  • Pro currently includes unlimited or higher limits for baby profiles, full trend/growth reports, more household-member slots, and higher photo capacity or per-record photo limits. Exact free and paid limits are controlled by the current app display. Cloud sync and reminders are not membership-only features.

If the purchase sheet shows a free trial or promotion, the subscription renews at the disclosed price after that period unless you cancel in time. Offers may differ by user, region, and Apple account.

8. Privacy

Our handling of accounts, baby profiles, household records, photos, device information, and subscription data is described in our Privacy Policy. Family sharing means that people you authorize may see content in the shared household space; confirm the sharing scope before sending invitations.

9. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You may stop using the service and delete your account through the flow provided in the app. We may suspend or terminate all or part of the service for security risks, unlawful use, abuse, non-payment, maintenance, or legal requirements, and will notify you where reasonably practicable. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription; cancel it separately in Apple ID subscription settings.

The data effects of deletion, including the difference between a household owner and an ordinary member, are described in the Privacy Policy. Statutory rights, refund rules, and payment obligations related to a paid subscription remain governed by applicable law and Apple’s terms.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that records, statistics, reports, or sync will always be accurate, complete, timely, or fit for a particular purpose. We are not responsible beyond the limits allowed by law for losses caused by your failure to back up data, device or network failures, third-party services, unauthorized account use, or content you upload or share.

These terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including fraud, intentional misconduct, statutory consumer rights, or liability for personal injury where applicable. If a legal limit is invalid, it will be narrowed or disregarded only to the extent required by law.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms when features, subscriptions, law, or security practices change and will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes may be announced through the app, website, or another reasonable channel. Continued use means you accept the updated terms, except where fresh consent is legally required.

For questions about the service, subscriptions, privacy, or these terms, email support@beanory.app. The operator’s formal legal entity details and governing-law terms should be added and reviewed by qualified counsel before formal commercial launch in a specific country or region.
